• Three years to transition (deadline of 15 September 2018)

• Existing certifications can be upgraded at any point in the three years

• New certifications can be to either standard

• ISO 14001:2004 certificates will be valid until the dates of the transition deadline.

• Publication released - March 2018

• 3 year transition period from 18001 to 45001

• Last 18001 audit deadline - March 2020
